It's no surprise that Molly loves music since so many of us in her family share a passion and appreciation for it. Some of us love to listen or dance to music while others enjoy playing it. Thus far, Molly seems to be a both a singer and dancer. She often will "sing" along with me to certain songs, although a stranger on the street would think she is trying to share one long sound over the top of my voice. I can note, however, that she does match pace, breaks and volume.
Molly enjoys music so much that she has started dancing. She hasn't bust out any YouTube worthy dances yet, but she is certainly working on it. Of course, you'll be the first to know if she becomes a YouTube baby dance or singing star.
We currently attend the Gymboree Music Class where we work on recognizing rhythm, pattern, breaks and fostering a love for music each week. One of our recurring activities is to "tap tap tap" to the rhythm. Molly has happily adopted this game for herself. I think she would make her uncle Shaun proud with her developing percussion skills.
