It makes me proud that Molly's first favorite chosen sport is soccer. That pride comes from my own years playing, the years Molly's grandma played an coached. Of course, it brings me joy that Molly will be able to connect over soccer with her uncle Shaun and learn from all his years of professional playing experience.
Molly is a solid Sounders FC fan and enjoys watching the matches on TV. I look forward to taking her to live games in the future. I must admit, after all my years of playing select and high school soccer, I both invite and dread the idea of all the early morning, long drives, wet dirty soccer gear and anxious side-line cheering that could be in my future. Oh, the pitch is your oyster.
