First Time Away

So I'm headed out of town tomorrow for two nights in Kansas City for my new job as an account manager. It will be a long three days. This is the first time I will be away from Molly since she was born. I leave her in the best care-her dad and grandma, yet still I miss her terribly.

Every parent needs time for themselves to recharge their batteries and to have a purpose outside of parenthood, however, when I am apart from Molly it is like missing a body part. Molly has been cruising around, swimming and splashing, crawling all over the place, meeting new people with a smile (unless you wear a hat) and generally growing up super fantastic! She's her own little person. However, there is a tender and eternal bond between mother and child that remains. It's unbelievable how the moment you become a parent, your heart has suddenly jumps from your body and roams around in the world.
